Renaissance Tuscany Cinque Terre – Milan

There are destinations you simply visit, and then there are destinations that make you want to return. The Dalmatian Coast undoubtedly belongs to the latter category—a place where medieval architecture, the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, Mediterranean charm, and fascinating history come together in a truly unique way. Following the difficult decades surrounding the wars in the former Yugoslavia, the region has undergone a remarkable revival and today ranks among Europe’s most popular and rapidly emerging travel destinations. Modern infrastructure, welcoming people, and authentic experiences create a setting that attracts millions of visitors from around the world every year. The highlight of our journey is enchanting Dubrovnik, the legendary “Pearl of the Adriatic” and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Behind its imposing city walls lies a vibrant city steeped in history and atmosphere—one that was fittingly chosen to portray the famous King’s Landing in the globally successful television series *Game of Thrones*. But this journey goes far beyond Dubrovnik. Drawing on our many years of experience along the Dalmatian Coast, and having brought thousands of travellers to the region, we have designed an itinerary that makes the most of every single day. Our exclusively chartered direct AEGEAN flights are a major advantage of the programme. Arriving in Zadar allows us to discover two of Croatia’s greatest treasures without unnecessary transfers: elegant Split and beautiful medieval Trogir, a museum-like town built on a small island. Our journey concludes with a visit to spectacular Montenegro. We will wander through the picturesque lanes of Kotor, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, and experience the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Budva. And the best part? There is no need to travel all the way back to Dubrovnik, as our return flight with AEGEAN departs directly from Podgorica, saving valuable time and making the journey even more comfortable. Carefully selected hotels, an experienced tour escort, and an outstanding local guide complete the experience. Through guided tours and personal stories, you will gain a deeper understanding of everyday life, history, and the memories and events that have shaped this remarkable part of the world. Leave the everyday behind and join us on a journey filled with unforgettable sights, colours, flavours, and unique experiences in some of the most beautiful corners of the Adriatic. Early morning departure on a direct AEGEAN flight to Zadar. On arrival, we travel to medieval Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former Greek colony, to explore its historic centre, elegant palaces, churches and the magnificent Cathedral of St. Lawrence. We then continue to Split, Dalmatia’s largest city, where we visit Diocletian’s Palace, the Cathedral, Gothic Town Hall and Renaissance Clock Tower, with free time along the famous Riva waterfront. In the evening, we arrive in Dubrovnik, check into our hotel and enjoy free time for a first walk through the Old Town.
After breakfast, enjoy Dubrovnik at leisure or join an optional full-day excursion to Korčula. Travelling along the spectacular Dalmatian coastline, we reach the Pelješac Peninsula and stop in historic Ston, renowned for its impressive fortifications and local wines. We continue to Orebić and take a boat to Korčula, an ancient Greek colony traditionally associated with Marco Polo. Explore its 13th-century walls, Venetian architecture, Cathedral of St. Mark and Marco Polo Museum, with free time to wander through its picturesque lanes or swim in the crystal-clear waters before returning to Dubrovnik.
A full day dedicated to Dubrovnik, the legendary “Pearl of the Adriatic.” We explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town and its historic walls, including locations featured in Game of Thrones, and visit landmarks such as the Franciscan Monastery, Rector’s Palace, Old Port and Church of St. Blaise. Weather permitting, we continue by boat to car-free Lokrum Island, famous for its botanical gardens, peacocks, medieval Benedictine monastery and clear waters. You may also take the cable car to Mount Srđ for breathtaking views over Dubrovnik and the Adriatic. For an extra adventure, enjoy a mountain buggy experience above the city, combining spectacular scenery with insights into Dubrovnik’s dramatic wartime history. The remainder of the day is free to explore Dubrovnik at your own pace.
After breakfast, we set out on a full-day excursion to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our first stop is historic Mostar, where Ottoman and European influences meet along the banks of the Neretva River. Discover its atmospheric lanes, bazaars and famous arched Old Bridge, while learning about the city’s complex history and the legacy of the conflicts of the late 20th century. We then continue to the spectacular Kravice Waterfalls, where the waters of the Trebižat River cascade approximately 25 metres into a beautiful natural pool. Free time to enjoy the scenery and surroundings before returning to our hotel in the late afternoon.
Our final day takes us into Montenegro. Travelling along the magnificent Bay of Kotor, we first admire picturesque Perast and its two famous islets before continuing to UNESCO-listed Kotor, a beautifully preserved medieval fortified town with strong Byzantine and Venetian influences. We visit highlights including the 12th-century Cathedral of St. Tryphon, the Orthodox Church of St. Luke and the historic palaces of the Old Town. Our final stop is Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic, renowned for its medieval centre, beautiful coastline and cosmopolitan atmosphere. After completing our journey through Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, we transfer to Podgorica Airport for our direct return flight.
